Ihave spent most of my career helping others tell their stories, turning complex ideas into messages that move people to act. For more than thirty years, I’ve led communications for a national nonprofit focused on education equity, designing campaigns, podcasts and digital content that make research and advocacy accessible to the public.

Along the way, I learned what it means to listen, build trust and connect through clear, authentic language.

My own story includes years of infertility, two risky premature births and the process of learning how to live with both gratitude and uncertainty. Those experiences reshaped how I see faith and resilience, and they taught me that humor is often what carries us through. I began writing about those moments – the practical, painful and sometimes the funny – as a way to make meaning and to reach others walking a similar path.

Today, my daughters are compassionate young adults who make me proud every day. Watching them grow into themselves reminds me how hope can take unexpected forms. Much of my writing, whether personal essays or short reflections, circles back to that idea: that ordinary life can hold both ache and joy at once.

As a writer and communications professional, I bring my experience in public relations and social media strategy to my creative work. I understand how to reach audiences and how to sustain engagement. I’m also drawn to the way history, including fascinating biblical history, echoes through our present lives, shaping how we understand struggle, grace and renewal.

I live in San Antonio, where I continue to write, mentor and collaborate with other authors. My goal is to tell stories that make people feel seen, spark reflection and offer a quiet sense of hope.
